A friend sends me this link saying it’s a shocker! It looks like a trailer to a movie, but may just be a short ad.
logo Apparently some disgruntled FOX reporters and some pro-Kerry folks got togther to tell us that FOX news is biased. This is apparently because it has meetings where the boss tells reporters what to report. Hmm. And, golly, they are slanting the news with a Republican bent. Wow. Who knew?
fake logo The next investigative films that need making:

1. Some lawyers are crooked even though they are actually in the Bar association!!!
2. Despite being educated, some doctors are incompetent! Many use drugs!
3. No matter what the expiration date, some milk goes sour before it should!
4. No matter what parents do, some children still play with matches!!
5. Computer users are NOT reading the documentation that comes with the machines, even though they are told to do so.

C’mon. Let me analogize the situation so computer person like yourself can appreciate the significance of these Fox-related developments.

As we all know, Microsoft assures us that it’s looking out for our safety and security and is endeavoring to make Windows as secure as possible. But as we all know, they haven’t been particularly successful.

Now imagine if someone put together a film that contained internal documents showing that, despite MS assurances, there really was an agenda to do the opposite of what they claimed (and exactly what people saw). Imagine if documents said, “make sure Outlook is vulnerable to X, Y, and Z worms.”

Would you really be so dismissive of this film or the claims being made? Would you really say sarcastically, “Wow. Who knew?” Of course not. You would say that not only is MS effectively incompetent with regards to security as we can all see, but internally, this is there intention all along despite their assurances.

  2. Anonymously says:

Oh please. If someone came out with a documentary with internal memorandum from Microsoft discussing how they can make their OS more vulnerable to viruses and worms, you’d be all over it.

You’d be all over it despite the fact that we all know MS OS is vulnerable to viruses and worms.

P.S. My last, post vanished so apologies if it reappears since this post makes essentially the same point.

Those who trust the news media., … do not trust their own gut instincts, their experience, themselves.

Those who trust the news media & the politicians, don’t trust themselves to make the right move.
