What!??!
Beaver Dick Park. Once, a few years ago, my wife and I decided that we’d rent a big RV and drive from California to Yellowstone and around back. Im the process we stopped in this fascinating park. We’re still chuckling about it. Only in Idaho!

Hey, not everything is gold on the blog!

Reminds me of the old Monty Python skit: “I merely meant, Your Majesty, that you shine out like a shaft of gold when all around is dark….”

    — I’d submit the lead-in to the joke, but you’d have to cancel it. Or would you? 🙂

umm from California to Yosemite? Last I heard Yosimete was still in California, but then what do I know I’m from Idaho.

I think you may have been going to Yellowstone and passed through Rexburg.

Beaver Dick Park is maintained by Madison County Parks and Recreation Department. It was a project of the Idaho Transportation Department and the Rexburg Rotary Club. It is located about 5 miles west of Rexburg on Highway 33. It is a 12 acre preserve situated on the west bank of the Henry?s Fork of the Snake River. It was named after “Beaver Dick,” Richard Leigh, who was one of the last of the real mountain men of this valley.

Not everything is gold? But it is the wide-ranging items that keep this site interesting, and keep me checking it regularly.

To KB: “Witty Wilde, witty”. 🙂

Try reading a little history on the subject of Beaver Dick, if only you could be as good as he.
