Stop the Invasion! — Here’s an interesting website complaining about illegal immigration — the kind tolerated and promoted by President Bush. It’s obviously a conservative group here and I wonder how todays Bush supporter reconciles all this with government policy that they approved with their ballots? Whatever the case, I wonder how many of these quotes are accurate? Many are plain disgusting. I’ll be looking into it.

Not paying attention, indeed. One of the codes is the upside down US flag sticker in the window of automobiles to indicate support for the takeover. I’m amused when I see some naive blogger use this symbol, like here.

Atzlan is a hard-core left group, allied with similar groups across the world, including the most vicious Palestinian factions. The group oozes with Jew-hatred, among other many other bad things.
I liked Art Torres statement that they were going to take over all the government positions in California and if they don’t like it, they could go back to Europe. Wierd, wasn’t Mexico and South America settled by the Spanish? Last time I check Spain was part of Europe. These radical Latino groups should be shuned and treated the same way white terrorist groups are, but they won’t because if you say bad things about a minority, no matter how wacky they are, you are branded a racist.

That’s a BIG assumption. I don’t think any voter agrees with EVERY position adopted by any presidential candidate that they vote for. There’s far too many issues and far too many votes to come at the level of the presidency. It’s a matter of prioritizing them.
For many of us, Bush’s immigration policies are the weakest in his portfolio. At the same rate, though, it’s not like Kerry had a better stance to win our vote.
Bush’s amnesty plan pisses off a lot of conservatives.
I cannot believe how most California universities officially support MECHA. It just shows how spineless the universities can be and how overly “politically correct” they are.
A lot of ruckus over nothing. Every race has a pocket group that thinks they will take over the world or some area.
Except for the Palastinians and Israel situation, nothing ever comes from it. It can look like momentum is coming, then everyone gives them the politically correct beatdown and the problem goes away.
You know, half of these Aztlan retards can be deported or John Ashcroft could send ’em to Gitmo without a trial if they ever became a problem.
But it won’t ever be a problem, just some unemployed and uneducated boys in gangs living out a little fantasy. Mexicans by and large are awesome people.
This is as about as perfectly a divisive issue in my neck of the woods as Bush’s faith-based payola. That is, to say, it’s a watershed issue.
My end of New Mexico has moved from a slight majority of Hispanic residents to a slight majority of Anglos. But, the Hispanic population is pretty well divided into “Spanish” — the folks who call themselves “true locals”, folks self-described as Chicano or Mexican ethnic background — and the “illegals”, the kindest term used around here.
Local officials estimate 15% of our county population is illegal.
There is no public consensus among the two legal factions. After all, this was the critical division before the wave of undocumentados exploded in this region. There is no consensus among Linerals or Conservatives. For every Bush acolyte who thinks they belong to the same country club set — and, therefore, figures it’s aces for every industry to drive down wages and increase profits by employing illegal migrant labor — there are so-called Liberals like our governor, Bill Richardson, who figures Democrats are going to acquire an automatic voter pool from the new citizens who aren’t citizens.
Prop 200 passed with a majority in AZ that any politico on Earth would drool over. Arnold doubtless received a fair piece of support by campaigning to remove drivers licenses, etc., from the realm of easy access.
Certainly, racists and bigots will be among the loudest campaigners against dropping enforcement of legal immigration. A fair chunk of folks I line up with — against reactionary politics — will automatically support the poverty-stricken who constitute a significant chunk of the undocumentados.
My hope is that there will be a referendum similar to Prop 200, here in New Mexico, to sort this all out. After all, using ballots to resolve questions like this is at least part of the process rooted in our Constitution. Maybe not the sole procedure; but, honorable and democratic.
Tee-Hee. I just noticed that the Aztlan Nation treats New Mexico as invisible as the Weather Guys — who always stand in front of our state to point at the West Coast or the Mississippi River and points East.
There actually are a couple of cities on that map — including the 2nd oldest European settlement in America.
Did you see the news item today that there are 400,000 OUTSTANDING warrents for the arrest of illegal immigrants who failed to show at their hearing?
Nearly half a million! IMHO, the immigration system is too broke to fix.

I suspect that the point of enforcement should be with employers, rather than the impossible job of closing our borders.
