This billboard is all over Amsterdam and it cracks me up when I see it. It has something to do with a Ben Affleck cologne contest I think. Maybe a local can clue me in since I personally respond as if we’re supposed to find him and then beat him. Wishful thinking perhaps.

  1. Ben Slater says:

I’m over in England and there is a TV ad where Ben Afleck walks around doing general day-to-day stuff and everytime a girl (or guy at one point) checks him out he clicks another notch on his score. At the end of the advert he gets in a lift with a couple of hundred clicks and is quite please with himself, until the guy in the lift (a normal looking guy) who is operating it shows him his score, and its a couple of thousand. The ad is for body spray, so if you use it you will be more attractive than Ben Affleck etc etc…

  2. david says:

Being that it’s in Amsterdam, The Red-Light City capital of the world, it probably has some sexual (of the homo type, if you get what I mean) overtones…

    Have a Heinekin!

  3. Dave says:

The only thing I can think of is that Ben is a local Amsterdam mobile phone company.

  4. davik says:

Ben Slater beat ME to it.
The expression on the face of the elevator operator is brilliant. He’s a better actor then Affleck.

  5. ijsbrand says:

The same ad campaign as in the UK runs in the Netherlands. Ben show us a clicker here, that can be used to count looks thrown in his direction. Looks, because he’s so smelly, I gather.

Milos Manara invented a much better clicker, by the way.

  6. joshua says:

Being that it’s Amsterdam, I wonder if the clicker has to columns, one for when a girl checks him out and another for when a guy checks him out.
