Today is Veteran’s Day, thank a Vet.
Should’ve run it on OSX.
ROFL, you made my day!
I remember seeing this video…..like 2 days ago on the front page of Digg.
Blogging is getting pretty easy.

I enjoyed the video Professor Wikipedia much better.
Will you nay sayers that use this as an anti / pro windows rant give it a rest. Windows XP works just fine for the majority of people. Yes, it is bloated and occasionally a little slow. BUT, it is still better and more user friendly than the rest.
NO, it is not the best operating system to run many single purpose operations on, but that is not why it was developed. No more than a Ford Taurus was designed to carry 3 tons of goods, or 12 people, or race at 160 MPH. But for most people a Taurus is a decent car that gets them from point A to B with relative comfort and comparable luggage load.
I can do just as well with my photo editing in Windows as my brother can on his Apple. Actually, I think my Adobe Windows PhotoShop may even work better.
When Ubuntu comes out with something as user friendly as Windows maybe I’ll give it another shot. Until then I will continue where I don’t need to learn new command lines to make something work.
Hilarious!
Who cares, Windows still rules the world and used by more people that SOX (OSX) and tubuna (Ubuntu). So windows still rules.
9,
and at this time, 9 countries have DUMPED MS for their Gov/education systems..
Including Germany, india…
#10, ECA,
All entities that can afford the time and expertise to tune the OS and applications to fit with their purpose. And good for all of them.
But I quickly tired of Ubuntu when every time I wanted to do something I had to spend time searching for how to do it. I gave it up. Maybe if it gets to the ease that Firefox and Open Office are I’ll give it another shot. I don’t want to have to learn a whole new system to make it work.
And GIMP still has a lot of work to do to be useful for the average Joe.
11,
Agree’d..
Im tired of learning NEW OS..
But for Gov purpose, Switching was EASY…
And it restricted them from–
RUNNING WINDOWS GAMES..
RUNNING WINDOWS EASY config/MESSUP/PAY everyday OS.
Once Ubuntu was setup, TO DO WHAT WAS NEEDED..Its SOLID..FREE…and not easy to mess up..
And I cant WAIT, for game development to go BACK to Linux..(YEP, MOSt OLDER games were developed UNDER LINUX then ported to MS)
ECA,
How come the tech media did only a tiny amount of reporting when Munich dumped linux in favor of windows last year, and declared their Linux migration a failure?
I’m very impressed, someone went to a whole lot of trouble.
Windows has gotten boring for geeks. Macs are currently fun for geeks. Linux is getting more fun, Android could make it really fun.
