Over the years Gates has done a number of humorous videos. This may be the best to date. Gates has always had a good sense of humor. Curiously missing from the vid is Gates lookalike Jeff Raikes who quit the company this week. This vid was shown at the Gates CES keynote.

Although I’ve never met Steve Jobs or Bill Gates, I think I’d rather party with Gates.
The video was the only interesting thing of Microsoft at CES 2008.

#10 yeah, Bill Gates didn’t write this. First of all, let’s all realize that Bill isn’t a computer geek; he’s not playing D&D, nor surfing the internet. He’s a monopolist…one of the best…think J.P. Morgan. His passion is money; think Warren Buffet. Given that, the video really doesn’t make fun of Bill Gates, but rather is Bill Gates making fun of his customers. The MS BOB reference was funny, but not true sincere. The reference would have been more slicing if it referred to Windows ME which truly F’d with his consumers. Yeah, Bill Gates can be a little funny, but only when he’s in control of the content, and when he’s not really the one being made fun of!

Unlike most IT folks who take themselves too seriously, Bill and Co. have learned to lighten up.

Personally I thought for sure Balmer was going to trip Gates up “in the hall” at the end there. Those two would make an unlikely “Odd Couple” in comedy.
But rather than go for the pure physical comedy humiliation tripping Gates up and spilling his Box`O’Crap like a High School bully, Balmer goes for the snide irony of the Aging Frat Boy.
Gates choosing his “last day” and “good byes” for the day before he is due back for a board meeting. Some folks just cant let go.
