Real love is hard to find for one Japanese man, who has transferred his affection and desires to dozens of plastic sex dolls.
When the 45-year-old, who uses a pseudonym of Ta-Bo, returns home, it’s not a wife or girlfriend who await him, but a row of dolls lined up neatly on his sofa.
The man, who says he has had sex with five women but prefers the dolls, is one of a gradually increasing, though secretive, group of Japanese men who have given up on women.

In another wrinkle, the latest trend for single women is to adopt realistic newborn baby dolls, cooing and fussing over them, dressing them in lace, taking them for walks, even throwing parties for them. No diaper changing, no 2 am feedings, no throwing up, no chance of the kid growing up to break your heart.
These modern Cabbage Patches or “Reborns” can cost almost as much as the Japanese dolls, and there is no shortage of demand for them.

We won’t live to see the day but the day will arrive for generations after us. The singularity event will occur in an A.I. (android) and when that day arrives male and female simulated humans will be the next best thing to a real (human) but with out the qualities (good and bad) that a human female or male would want.
This is going to happen because technology will make it happen. This is not a prediction, it will be a fact in the future. Only the timeline of it taking place is up in the air. There is a benefit to this technology. The elderly that need help and constant attention etc. and dangerous tasks etc.
It could go bad like the film ‘I Robot’ but that won’t be likely.
I am a happily married man, but, marriage has it’s ups and downs.
I prefer to be with my wife than alone. She does the most curious/unpredictable things.
I do not prefer a ‘Doll or an android’
However -the androids that are coming will show serious intelligence. They will have the capabilities to store massive amounts of information.
They will have the ability to choose. They will no doubt, out live us by hundreds of years.
And they will have the ability to be unpredictable.
What they may not be able to do, is, get pregnant.
