Looks about right.
Oh come on. Even a PC lover would find that funny, no?
You can’t do that with Macs, their less than uniform shape makes them perfect for floor tiling though.
And if you have the first version of the iMac you can gut it and use the empty shell to potty train you baby; after all, it’s pretty and loaded with shiny colours 😉
Some people have much too much time on their hands. I envy the poor bugger who has to pick them up again, much less use them.
I’ve been helping my wife set up her Mac laptop over the last couple of weeks (I’m mostly a PC guy). Sometimes I think it’s a pretty good PC, and sometimes I’d like to drop kick it into the next county the way the domino guys did with those old towers. It’s a nearly sealed box (the battery can be replaced/swapped), so making changes to the laptop (like adding RAM) appears to be difficult if not impossible. The jury’s still out.
Nice.

GREAT IDEA! Got to do this with all those PCs back in the office – those that accounting refuses to let go…
Only thing necessary to fan here is that sh*t smell coming off of Vista.
Where did he get all those PCs? Dvorak, are you a Windows fanboy? I though you were smart 🙂 Seriously, everybody needs to shut the f*** up about mac vs pcs and get a life. Lets put all that energy into something useful, like the current state of our country maybe. I don’t know, it’s just a thought.
I got an idea! Let’s start discussing Win vs. Linux!
He kicked the PCs again midway through where it paused.
Yeah, at the corner.
I think I spotted one Mac in there — which is about the right sales ratio. 🙂
floyd I feel your pain. As a 25 year win vet my first mac is still not getting any real work time. EVERY OS has to be learned.

Read your instructions. Or a website or something. Adding RAM should take you all of about 5 minutes–unless you have big fat fingers.
You’re welcome.
Oh, and you can swap out the hard drive while you’re at it. Try that with a Dell.
At last – a good use for a PC!
John Davis
My friends and I intend to do the same, only with 1000 PCs… We want to get into the Guinness book
These were obviously under-powered machines made obsolete by a company-wide upgrade to Windows Vista, which requires a lot of horsepower.
Probably most of them would still run great with some version of Linux. What a waste! I hope, after they’re done playing, they donate the useful machines to kids who can’t otherwise afford a computer.
You know, I’m sure I could see some user names and passwords, still taped to the sides of those cases. It’s nice to see nothing about security has changed in the past few years. That provides me with a serene sense of continuity.
Maybe this will make you feel better .

I like the Mac smash video better (should have been a new Intel one). I think those involved in the industry for a least a couple of years will soon realize that all platforms will fail when you least expect. Mac, Windows, and Linux all really do suck. I am still waiting for an operating system that at least has something unique to offer. You know something with a true microkernel, proper virtualization, and maybe (some applications).
20: Understand your pain; one of my (non) users has his user ID and password sticky-noted to his monitor. And the boss has his written on his desk blotter.

Yes, stuck to the monitor is popular, as well as under the keyboard, where no-one would ever think to look, right?
Still, I found most of them in the top right drawer of the desk. I dunno why but from direct observation, that’s the favorite place to hide passwords. This includes left-handers because often there is no top left drawer.
Typical DU. Nowhere in that video did I hear anything about it being a pro-Apple video. He said “dot com crash,” not “PCs suck.” Get a life. Use whatever platform you like and shut the hell up.
