This was brought up on the most recent No Agenda Show (to be posted shortly). It was the fact that Monica Crowley was wearing some flattering Italian spike heels while Eleanor Clift on the same episode of the McLaughlin Group wore sensible shoes. Now you know why Monica has moved up a seat on the show, yes?

Well, Monica has been in this seat for awhile, and it’s because she can complete a full sentence without sounding like an idiot, or screaming “Excuse Me!” over the rest of the panel. Poor Eleanor has been doing this for decades now, because each year she seems to spout more nonsense than she has each previous year. All that said, Pat and Eleanor are the most fun to watch even now.
The fact she is 28 years younger might have more to do with it than the shoes.
what one person sees as “flattering” I see as uncomfortable looking hoochie shoes.
I vote with #2. Attractive packaging is vital in the present media market.
I think crowley has sensible enough shoes considering her rounded heels
Monica’s sex appeal and sheen of intelligence wears thin real quick. Yes, she can speak in complete sentences, but they are mostly hollow. She’s still trying to recover from a plagiarized op-ed she sent to the Wall Street Journal, for which she was appropriately censured. She’s 98% partisan; less than 2% analyst of any force. She’s been trying to land a permanent T.V. job on Fox and/or MSNBC for years now. She’s had some trial runs, but can’t quite get over the hump. Her younger sister is married to Alan Coombs, former liberal stooge for Sean Hannity.
Wha? I have watched off and on for years and she sits in the same place every week. And so what? Who cares about her shoes? What heterosexual man cares about what shoes a woman is wearing? It’s her mind we’re interested in, right guys?
At last, some real news.
A simple “Sharon Stone leg crossing’ would put Palin on top. Does she have what it takes?
All I know is that the requirement for women to work at Faux News is to have a macrobelt disguised as a mini skirt.
Can it be any more obvious what Republicans look for in their female politicians and political commentators?
They never really got on board with that new-fangled “equality of the sexes” thing.
Hey I wish Elanor would wear some stilletos. Talk about sexy! Meouch! 🙂
#10 — this airs on PBS!
I’ve come to the conclusion that Monica Crowley is totally insane, regardless of her footwear.
#14 Yah she’s crazy alright…crazy like a fox baby!
Crowley’s claim to fame is she can spout the Republican Party line without having the Republicans demanding eye bleach.
Intellectually, she is a lightweight. Maureen Dowd is much better in my opinion, regardless of the shoes.
