    Yes that was Katie M. in the opener and can you guess what she was talking about? If you know you probably need a life as well do I.

  2. Paddy-O says:

    Miserable Monday with 40,000 Layoffs:

    It’s only going to deepen & prolong if we go into FDR mode, and that is looking increasingly likely…

  3. ArianeB says:

    Actually I heard this afternoon the numbers were adjusted to 72,000 jobs lost from 5 companies.

  4. GregA says:

    Good thing the republicans are being obstructionist then, that will give Obama lots of cover.

  5. Mister Mustard says:

    #2 – Paddy-RAMBO

    Hey! I’ll bet these 40,000 workers were laid off in anticipation of Obama’s oppressive tax plan.

    Right?

  6. Paul says:

    * GarageBand
    * iPhoto
    * iMovie
    * iWeb

    Of course you want to know.

  7. He Knows says:

    John knows what iLife is, folks… He feigns ignorance to drive traffic to his sites where the Mac fans will send him links to pages at Apple, etc.

    Oh wait, that’s already happened.

    Just tell him it’s Apple’s version of bundled crapware, but that in this case, the software doesn’t suck!

  8. MotaMan says:

    I can’t wait to get one of these femtocell devices, seems to me that transmitting to a device on my property gives me less radiation than transmitting to a device a few thousand or more feet away.

    I’d like to have priority over my neighbors though.

  9. ECA says:

    now, LETS THINK HARD..
    Why do they need to get rid of so many jobs??
    They aint making enough money.
    And those on TOP want to keep their wages and bonus’s..
    so you cut from the middle DOWN..and you save money..
    Will it cut advertising? not much.
    Will it lower prices? Alittle..
    Will they fire 1 of the MANY on top that make $1,000,000+ per year..NOPE.
    How many $10 per hour workers can you get for $1,000,000..(50)
    how much work can be done by 50 workers over 1 Corp head?

  10. Glenn E. says:

    I heard somewhere (Nightline?) that jobs in Defense will soon increase. Which only confirms my long held theory that someday we’ll all be working for the Military Industrial Complex. And be at a constant state of war, to justify it. Sort of like the ancient Roman Empire. Next up, the Fall of the US Empire. History repeats.

  11. Chris Mac says:

    no “end of times” banner? cripes!

  12. ZZman says:

    iLife? John doesn’t know? Of course he doesn’t, if it doesn’t include iWine and iFood how could it be called iLife.

  13. Paddy-O says:

    # 4 GregA said, “Good thing the republicans are being obstructionist then, that will give Obama lots of cover.”

    Actually the opposite:

    The same Repubs that voted against the identical type of spending this fall will still vote against it now. Obama will have no problem getting the needed votes from the Dem majority.

    Repubs aren’t a factor in Obama making or not making the mistake FDR did. Obama wants Repub votes so that when the debacle blows up he can say that the Repubs wanted to do it.
